Once a week, the focus switches to developing our own creative skills. At the moment, we’re studying the poet’s craft. Looking closely at 20 all-time favourites, including poems from Shakespeare, William Blake, Robert Frost, William McGonagall, Dylan Thomas, A.A Milne, Bob Dylan, and Murray Lachlan Young, we’ll try to identify what makes their work special and what we can learn from them.

Published in this series so far:

The Sick Rose by William Blake – using symbols effectively.
Remembering our aural roots – featuring A.A. Milne’s ‘Disobedience’
From Meta-Limericks to Metaphysics – featuring John Donne’s ‘Death Be Not Proud’.
